The IRS & the Constitution
by: Irene Warren, September 24, 2008
Sept. 17, 2008, marked the 221st Anniversary of the United States Constitution, a time when many reflect on Americas heritage and freedoms. However, one organization is exercising one of its First Amendment rights by filing a Peoples Petition for Redress concerning the ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment this year, an action to restore order within the U.S. Constitution.
We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc. is a 501(c)( 3) organization, established November 24, 1997. Tonight, the President is going to appear on national TV for the purpose of garnering support for the Hanktator’s bailout plan. The plan is Unconstitutional on its face, since it cedes plenary power to Paulson, an unelected official of the Treasury.
Since the President is about to ask the American people to overthrow their own Constitution, the notion of whther or not the IRS is Constitutional is the mootest of points.
This battle has waged a hundred times and never won. And if the Constitution is overthrown by Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson, there isn’t anything to discuss.
By the way, folks, it looks like the Fed is actually working to worsen the financial situation. How? Today the Fed drained at least $35 billion from its funding system.
