No it’s not victory. It’s just a dead issue for the rest of the year (it’s not like energy is an important issue these days, right!).
The law does expire BUT it would be insane for a company to set up exploration now unsure what the law will be in Feb. If Obama wins with a larger Dem congress count of offshore drilling being illegal for a very long time.

agreed! I wouldn’t trust them until after they prove trustworthy and so far...
However, at least there is a momentary reprieve, and in Nov we will know if their strategy was correct, or there will be a possibility of a clean energy bill with every avenue open for research and development of every kind, no restrictions, no limits, just like the space race and the moon landing, in the beginning.
Obama and McCain both talk about “the special interests” well that includes me bucko, and I’m PO’D that zero progress is being made in finding and developing sufficient energy sources to get this country off the Mexican, Venezualan, Arab pipeline, before they own us.
New Congress next year.
