Obama's Academic Record Was Not Stellar; McCain Might Have Highest IQ in Presidential History

When academic credentials are discussed in the media, what you typically hear is that Obama is brilliant because he was president of the Harvard Law Review, whereas McCain is a dolt because he graduated towards the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy (even though that was because of discipline -- not academic -- issues, caused by McCain's "rebel" personality). Now imagine a world in which the media is not in the tank for Obama....

No, John McCain didn’t graduate fifth from the bottom because of discipline issues. Notwithstanding his reputed IQ of 133, he didn’t apply himself academically, and had the grades to show for the lack of effort. Demerits didn’t affect class standing anywhere near what you are suggesting, any more than they affected my own class standing there.

I don’t think discipline demerits affect one’s scholastic standing.

For what it’s worth, McCain’s Wikipedia entry says this:

McCain came into conflict with higher-ranking personnel, he did not always obey the rules, and that contributed to a low class rank (894 of 899) despite a strong intelligence.

So, when and where will Barack 0bama’s undergraduate transcripts be published??

McCain’s not proud of his undergrad record, but he doesn’t hide it.

What’s 0bama hiding?

You are absolutely right. I suspect Obama’s drug use and lack of focus during his college years contributed to a very mediocre performance. He has not released his grades (or LSAT scores) because (i) they probably are not all that good and (ii) it might cause a backlash against him because of affirmative action. How else could he have been admitted to Harvard Law School?

Timberg, Nightingale’s Song, 31–35. and Alexander, Man of the People, 207 wouldn’t exactly be objective much less reliable sources for this information.

I call bull.

I say Andrew Jackson had the highest IQ.

Any president with the brains to eliminate a central bank and return the creation of the countries money to the people instead of money grubbing bankers is the smartest man in the world.
