Hearsay only! My students were not brought up on Mao. Some are, in fact, quite the opposite. I feel very uncomfortable when discussing political issues with them. I usually make it a rule not to discuss local politics. American politics - it is open season. Chinese politics, I am very careful. I do this as a matter of course when I am in another country. It took months of that guy in Cambodia insisting before I would openly discuss Cambodia politics with him. Then we had nearly three years of political discussions. He has been my only exception (Thailand included).
I hear you!!
Eliminating the 2nd Amendment...taking guns away from the populace...starting a Civilian National Security Force...
Isn’t that an oxymoron?
One of the problems is ... conservatives tend to play by the rules, respect the office, respect others rights to a different opinion ... and all the other PC BS.
Democrats are NEVER troubled by such nicety. NEVER- Their whole agenda is WIN by any means and at any cost. LIE- Cheat Steal Slander respect not the family, ruin a persons life in the news, by any crap that they can throw up and get to stick to the wall. They are militant about it constantly.
Democrats in the system and their minion fight a guerrilla style warfare, and Republicans fight by The Marques of Queens-bury rules. Or something like that ... you get the idea, I hope.
The liberals have the press, medias, and true communist, socialist billionaires behind them.
Not a fair fight. Is it?
The majority of passive voters do believe much of what the well known commentators, columnists, television personalities and even our local editorials write/say.
I keep praying for John too have some passion, or a bit of dynamic enthusiasm. Sarah definitely has it. Sorry I'm rambling. We must stand together and Call for a return to standards that create a system that works.
I could not agree with you more on every single point you have made. I am optimistic that there are so many of us out there and that this socialist is going down big time....hoping as large a loss as Mondale.
Laughing at them works for me. I decided a couple of months ago it was good therapy. There really isn’t anything else to do with them. They don’t consider any thing that is said to them. They are still spewing “Bush Lies” they are not respectful when they come into conservative forums. They don’t do any research on their allegations. They are sexist and racist even by their own research. They use people then discard them when they are through(Do you hear me Hillary), which is different than Republicans ousting people when they have done something wrong. So, when I see them chatting or posting I laugh at them, they don’t like it. I also don’t answer their stupid questions that are designed as red herrings.
Prayer is powerful ... Let us bow down and pray to God to bless this nation with new leaders that agree with His instructions.
God is in the miracle business.
paranoid, shmaranoid; if it quacks like a brownshirt and walks like a brownshirt, it must be a brownshirt.
IMHO
I have had countless liberals tell me they are afraid of the Christian Right and their agenda. In response I always ask them to name a single thing they can’t do, or a single thing they are forced to do as a result of the so called Christian Right (after all, they had great influence under Reagan). They can never name a single thing. Then I list all the things I am either forced to do, or prohibited from doing because of the left:
Recycling
Can’t allow smoking in a private restaurant or business.
Declare my race on countless forms
Wear a motorcycle helmet even though no one else is at risk if I don’t.
Not let my kids take aspirin to school.
Can’t use the term Christmas Holidays in school.
Can’t decide where my child goes to public school, even if I am willing to drive him there.
Unable to buy a handgun without waiting several days.
Unable to buy certain types of weapons because they look like military weapons.
Unable to buy a clip that holds more than 9 rounds.
Pay social security even though I don’t want Social Security when I retire.
Subject my children to government biased sex education.
Subjecting old people and children to security checks at airports because we aren’t allowed to “profile” passengers.
The list would fill pages, and yet when you recount them to liberals they are dumbstruck that you don’t understand that the rules they want are for everyone’s benefit, but the rules the Christians want are, well, BAD.

I too, pray for a major decisive victory for the conservative values and a huge loss to the liberals.
May God smile on our cause ...
We all know that God is in the miracle business ...
Nothing is too hard for God.
Let us praise and honor and thank Him Him for His blessings. Amen.
