I read a FR thread the other night that said IGNORE liberals (like hanging up on a prank phone caller). One problem...they don't care about being ignored by you and there's never going to be unanimous compliance with ignoring them.
Liberals really believe they are intellectually superior and there is no contest about it. Far worse than a Latter Day Saint pushing the word door to door, liberals believe it is their mission to push the word of liberalism.
Logic and dissection of their arguments is futile every time - they never say, "Good point"...never say, "I didn't think of it that way"...never any realization that they are completely illogical. Never. Never once.
While conservatives reinforce opinions with logic followed through to a conclusion, the liberals hold a conclusion and lazily expect someone else to figure out the means and don't really care if they don't (enter lie, cheat and steal).
And never the twain shall meet.
Ignoring them is a response but it is also a kind of defeat that will shut one more voice up until all we hear is liberals....for the sake of fellow conservatives, it's therapy to read posts from people you've never met, who have no geographical commonality with, no social reason at all to be so similar in thinking...we need to push the word that shreds the arguments. If no one makes the arguments, the young people won't learn.
The best way to dent a liberal who parrots dumb, defenseless points is to laugh at them. I know, it sounds mean and isn't the way we're taught to respect others opinions. But it's beyond that. I simply don't respect an opinion that doesn't change when facts refute it. Just like an anti-war person stuck in "give peace a chance" doesn't get it. "ROFLMAO" at how silly they are intellectually is an effective response that throws them off point and causes them to explode.
So rather than ignoring, I say make sure with every argument posted there is a some notation that they, not their argument, they personally are not intellectually superior contrary to their axiom. The mere thought that they aren't being taken seriously or as an intellectual heavyweight is mortifying above all else.
If a reporter just laughed at a Nancy Pelosi answer and stopped asking her questions...just doubled over laughing...and a bunch of other people around her were slapping their knees in hysterics...would that not be the perfect answer?

I think this is the perfect method to handle liberals. I have been having a running discussion with my brother for over six long years (he runs I discuss). Whenever he repeats the DNC line or some other dumb line, I immediately pen a poem that makes fun of his comment.
Last week when I was piling on with all the corruption coming out about the liberals in Congress, he commented that my emails were unanswerable. I sent him this almost immediately:
Unanswerably Explicit
The emails come too fast to track
Evidence piles up against my back
Most of the stuff I cannot read
My basic vocabulary it does exceed
Unanswerably explicit words of facts
What must I do to thwart the attacks
I’ll follow what the messiah commands
Run, liberal , run and wring my hands
He is now in his Stone Cold Silence mode.
I’ve had many conversations with Liberals that have admitted that they’d “never heard it that way before” or “that’s a good point”.
The key is to encourage them to THINK instead FEEL. You can agree with the feeling, but take them down a different line of thought. Some are hopeless and unable to think outside their talking points. But some are reachable.

Mockery does seem to be the only thing that gets through to them. Unfortunately, it only serves to make them angrier, but sometimes they actually leave you alone afterwards.
