At least The Atlantic Magazine did the right thing in the end... not that they are off the hook completely!

Yes but she will be the heroine to all of the lefties and the poster child for victimhood.

I am shocked and surprised. I now await some aclu sniveling lawyer to sue on her behalf.

The title is factually inaccurate (not your fault), the atlantic should find editors who understand hyphenation and its uses.
I thought McCain had slandered the photog. who was fired.
To: Mobile Vulgus
Should not the title be Photographer who slandered McCain let go?

NO, the editor will probably get a bonus and a copy of your post will be framed as part of the atta-boy ceremony.

On many of the professional photog sites, she’s been trashed by most posters, as she has damaged the reputation/trust of all professionals.

This will only make her work more famous and saleable.
She won’t have a problem being picked up by another agent and gallery.
They will in fact love it. She is now a counter cultural icon and hero to the left and cultural elite.
Her prices just probably went up at least 50%.

Yeah, those fact checking copy editors were right on top of it, approving the final cover for production — Was done by who?

Well I don’t think McCain should go about slandering any photographers

You have to wonder why she was hired in the first place. She obviously hadn’t been “vetted”.

I thought McCain had slandered the photog. who was fired. Same with me, that is specifically why I opened the thread. Note to press editors: Punctuation is your friend.
To: Mobile Vulgus
Oh, how my heart is breaking for her ... NOT!

The Leftists in this country have completely LOST IT. They feel they are completely ENTITLED to violate any ethical norm, common decency, rights and laws to achieve their ends.
They are no different than the remnants of the dregs that control and still inhabit the gulags of Cuba, Iran, and North Korea in their zeal to perpetuate their ideology.
Very simply, their operating motto is the time honored and tested philosophy of all fascistic tendencies: "THE ENDS JUSTIFIES THE MEANS!"

Ah, but take a close look at the headline”
“McCain Slandering Photographer Fired by Her Own Rep Agency”
Makes it sound like McCain is slandering her and she is an innocent victim of the evil Republicans.
Even when they apologize, they don’t.
