The downing of Pan Am 103 was set up by Iran, it was a gimmee by the USA too ... maybe “we” felt guilty over the Iranian Airbus downing by the Vincennes and “we” took one in the shorts to assauge that guilt. But who would admit that to those PanAm 103 families and the people of Lockerbie?

Look, our State Dept has been ruled for 3 decades by striped pants elitists and their earnest naive students they trained at Georgetown and Columbia- who think the “Iranian moderates” are coming back to power in Iran so we should not upset the Iranians. And they manage to cow the White House into accepting this as a centerpiece of our policy toward Iran.... “Tread lightly” so you don't upset chances for “the moderates” to return to power.

Oh, and if Iran DOES do bad things, it is because of rogue elements, not because those bad things were planned and approved by the “moderates” at the head of the regime
