He sounded like Karl Marx. The only thing Washington needs to do is make it clear their will be no bail outs.

This reminds me of a Daffy Duck cartoon where he pledges to “clean up this one horse town”. In the end, he’s pushing an Ash Can and broom and being thankful that it was only a “one horse town”.

Yep, Obama and McCain are the same on this one. Government screws up the market, so what do they both call for? Why, more government intervention, of course!

Oh where, oh where have the free marketers gone? *sigh*

Reforming Regulatory agencies is hardly Marx.

The monied morons of Wall St. need to be transparent and it is the obligation of government to ensure that their accounting practices are legal and reported.

Thanks for the first shred of common sense on this topic.

Seems Rush too is an economic illiterate.

We need transparency, oversight, and vigilance.

So far their has not been a charge of accounting fraud against LB or AIG, even if their is accounting fraud we already have laws against this we didn't need SarBox and we don't need new regulations. What we need is the return of the threat of moral hazard. These companies took on the risk of these subprime derivatives with their eyes open or at least they should have. Either way it's their fault they are failing not Washington's (a little blame needs to go to the community organizers like Obama who had been complaining about red lining).

Exactly. Too much gov’t meddling has prolonged and expanded the mess.
