I don't recall the family members of the Cuban kid firing off some rounds at the SWAT team that broke into their house.

And, in what is more than just a coincidence, you don't remember anyone getting shot - let alone dying - in that incident either.

How come Ayers aka domestic terrorist walks around a free man to this day?

(1) His father was one of the wealthiest men in Chicago and he therefore had world class legal representation. It was his father's attorneys who were able to discover technicalities that got much Weather Underground evidence excluded.

(2) His group had a code of silence which they pretty much stuck to. If there is no physical evidence to link you to any specific crime, and no one is talking about anything, it's pretty tough to convict you.

(3) The more unpredictable and undisciplined members of the group got themselves killed or fled abroad, eliminating most of the key eyewitness testimony.

(4) Most of what we know about his activities are contained in evidence files that were excluded and in his own memoirs - conveniently written after the statute of limitations ran out on the crimes which he was willing to admit to.

Thanks for the cliffs. I’ve been under the impression that I would be hard-pressed to find unbiased research on that case. Frankly, I didn’t even know the guy until the whole Obama fiasco.
