There have been attempts by Democrats to make an issue of a firing of an Alaska state trooper, making it out to be an alleged abuse of power implicating the governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, who also happens to be Senator John McCain's running mate on the Republican presidential ticket. Recently Governor Palin's husband was subpoenaed as part of this ongoing probe.
Meanwhile, a far more egregious example of abuse of power is going virtually unnoticed and unreported by the mainstream media, abuse of power that implicates both members of the Democratic presidential ticket, Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden. The circumstances of this case will be spelled out briefly, but it all revolves around a shadow figure who has been a constant thorn in the side of Barack Obama since late last year: Larry Sinclair.
I use shadow figure to describe Larry Sinclair, not to impugn him, but to illustrate how dilligently the mainstream media have gone out of their way not to cover Larry Sinclair's allegations against Senator Obama, much less to even mention his name. Larry Sinclair is so dangerous to the Obama camp and the mainstream media, he is referred to only as The Man Whose Name Must Never Be Mentioned.
Another thing must be said here and now about the Larry Sinclair situation. Because of the mainstream media's utter lack of coverage of this story, whatever bits and pieces of information available to us about the treatment of Larry Sinclair are coming from, well, Larry Sinclair through his various blogs. There is one oppositional site, the Mitch and Nan Show, which is a group of Obama supporters whose sole purpose for existence is to smear Larry Sinclair and twist facts to suit their own agenda, which is the destruction of Larry Sinclair. Most of their efforts have been shown to be totally fraudulent, and many of their activities, including death threats against Sinclair and hacking into his various websites and sometimes successfully disabling them, are illegal. Hence, if anyone wants to complain about the alleged biased nature of the coverage of Larry Sinclair from this end, take it up with the MSM who are providing no coverage of Sinclair. Absent their presence, it is up to concerned citizens to piece together whatever information is available about Sinclair from cyberspace, the Internet, and various blogs including of course those of Sinclair.
Larry Sinclair held a press conference at the National Press Club on June 18, 2008 in Washington, DC. to spell out his allegations against Barack Obama and provide whatever evidence he had to back up those allegations. Minutes after completing the press conference District of Columbia police showed up and arrested Sinclair, never producing a warrant along the way. They claimed it was a "fugitive warrant" issued from the state of Delaware, and they arrested him anyway. Sinclair was held for five days in various areas of the DC jail system, never given his medications, never given an opportunity to use the phone, and never being informed of the charges.
On June 23 Sinclair was transferred to the custody of the Delaware attorney general's office and driven to Wilmington, Delaware with no ID or wallet. They informed Sinclair that an arraignment was scheduled for July 3 in Delaware, and since Sinclair had missed his return flight back to his home in Duluth, Minnesota and short on money, he had no option but to remain in the area to await that hearing. Sinclair had signed a retainer agreement for the services of defense counsel Richard A. Weir, a highly respected Delaware attorney. But the evening before the arraignment hearing, Weir informed Sinclair that he would not be able to represent him because of "things he was saying about Barack Obama and Joe Biden." Weir backing out at the last minute effectively left Sinclair with no legal representation going into the arraignment hearing the next day.
When Sinclair faced the judge on the morning of the 3rd, he informed him of Weir's backing out, the judge duly noted it, and informed Sinclair that he would need to return to Delaware on August 11 for further hearings on the criminal complaint. By this time the state of Delaware had bled Sinclair of over $10,000 in legal fees, an amount he would have had no hope of paying had it not been for donations from persons who were aware of the story through coverage on Sinclair's blogs.
Sinclair later retained the services of Delaware criminal attorney Andrew Farren, and yet by this time they still had not received anything from the DA's office regarding the specifics of the criminal complaint. Earlier, however, the Delaware News-Journal had published a brief story noting that Sinclair had passed off counterfeit money orders to the Rodeway Inn in Delaware during a stay there last year. Sinclair knew that this story was entirely false, and was confident that if this is what the sealed grand jury indictment was all about, that it was a pure sham orchestrated by Beau Biden, attorney general of Delaware, in protection of Barack Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden against Sinclair's allegations.
In fact, it was later discovered that the foreman for that grand jury was the head of the Obama campaign in Delaware. Sinclair was arrested in DC for a presumed "felony theft" warrant out of Delaware, according to the recommendation of the grand jury. Assistant district attorney Susan Dwyer had been adamant all along that they had the goods on Sinclair for a felony conviction, yet Sinclair never backed down. He informed them that he knew the allegations to be bogus, and he told them to bring it on. Noting the tenacity of Sinclair, Dwyer later offerred Sinclair a reduced charge to a misdemeanor. So why is it that a supposed felony charge that ignited a fugitive warrant and arrest in Washington, DC was all of a sudden being offerred down to a misdemeanor? This already showed serious cracks in the case being made against Sinclair.
Sinclair told Dwyer that he would reject the misdemeanor offer, and this upset her even more. She sent out an email later to the effect that, since Sinclair could technically be labeled an habitual offender because of his prior felony arrests and convictions, they would seek a life sentence against Sinclair at criminal trial. This was obviously a last ditch scare tactic to get Sinclair to plead to the misdemeanor. Within days after Sinclair again rejected the offer to plead to misdemeanor, and also days after Senator Joe Biden was named vice president on the Democratic ticket, all charges against Sinclair were dropped. The official court docket, posted on August 28 read "case closed, insufficient evidence."
Ladies and gentlemen, there is no other way to spin this sordid tale than to call it what it is: a massive abuse of power of the attorney general's office of Delaware, using that office for political purposes, to destroy a private citizen, Larry Sinclair, because of the allegations he was and has been making against Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Interestingly enough, the MSM is so obsessed with keeping Larry Sinclair invisible that they are in effect acting complicitously to suppress what appears to be illegal activities on the part of the state of Delaware, apparently in orchestration with the Obama campaign, against Larry Sinclair. It is also worth noting that the Obama campaign has placed Larry Sinclair on their Secret Service watch list, a move made presumably in reaction to the news that Sinclair was attempting to gain press credentials for the upcoming presidential and vice presidential debates.
Ask yourself, is it a proper calculation by the MSM to suppress the mentioning of the name of Larry Sinclair at all costs, even if it also means suppressing what by any objective measure is one of the biggest stories of the 2008 presidential campaign? You think Troopergate is a big story? Hah! Sinclairgate makes it pale in comparison, and pale badly. Stop sitting on your hands MSM. Do the right thing, and report on this egregious abuse of power coming out of Delaware.

NO trooper was fired. Palin hired the police commissioner after she became governor and then offered him a transfer to head of the ABC 18 months later. The commissioner didn’t want the transfer and quit. His job was at the “governor’s” pleasure so she could fire him at any time for any reason.
Also remember this issue with her brother in law happened before she became governor.

I read this somewhere else. I will try to find the article. Sinclair may be a nut case, but he says bho phone records would back up his story. He also suggested bho had a homosexual relationship with a man by the name of Young. Young sang in the choir at Rev Wright’s church. He was murdered and his body was found at 7:00 something on a Sunday morning. Rev Wright announced it at mass...dont know if it was the 7:30 or 10:30 mass. Who told Wright? How did he know? It was a maximum of 3 hours later. It would seem to me that being a fresh crime scene, information wouldnt move that fast. Sounds fishy to me.
I don’t want to believe Sinclair, because I don’t want to feel like a tin-foil headed nut, but something in this milk ain’t clean.
What about extradition papers from DC to Delaware? Somebody had to sign ‘em. Where’s the paper trail?
