After the Democratic Party obtained a majority in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate in 2006, some believe the mainstream media saw this as an indication the country had made a decided turn to the left. Suddenly, what was once a clear case of media bias became a strident effort by many in the media to promote a liberal agenda. No network was more guilty of this departure from journalistic objectivity than NBC and its sister cable outlet, MSNBC. NBC's news division, which had been losing viewership at an alarming rate, made a decision to roll the dice and devote much of its on-air time towards Republican-bashing.
NBC clearly saw the 2006 vote as a mandate from the public. MSNBC became a virtual mouthpiece for the Democratic Party and "news anchor" Keith Olbermann led the charge. The network thought it saw an opportunity to fill a niche for some viewers, but

I won't even watch football anymore, for fear that I might shoot the TV screen when that barking moonbat comes on the air.
Maybe I'll switch to Snow Machine Racing.

(lol) My hubby has blocked the MSNBC channel on our tv so that we won’t go through another TV. I’ve destroyed two already.

Keith Olberman is unbalanced IMO, I don't know what the man's issue is, his rants and tyraids border on schizoid IMO.
GE really should rethink their strategy, as long as Keith Olberman chairs the sports desk along with the partisan opinion show desk, there are literal millions who will not watch their programming.

I refuse to watch NBCs pre-Sunday night game program as long as Olbermann is on it. The same idiots had Bryant Gumbel in the first season.

It was a terrible halftime show on SNF. Olbermann's attempts at wit were pathetic and Dan Patrick looked rusty. Even Bob Costas looked uncomfortable.
I can't give up football, but next week, I'll mute the halftime show.

He has alienated his coworkers at every stop along the way, from his days as wise-cracking sports reporter (he didn't really cover sports, he put down people, aired funny sports vids, and other "edgy" satire) at Channel 5 in L.A., through ESPN (he came aboard around the same time the ESPN anchors become more important than the events they covered), and now apparently at MSNBC.
I'd give my next paycheck if someone could find and post a photo of KO during his Channel 5 days before his metrosexual makeover. He wore his hair in these ridiculous-looking bangs.

Football Night in America was awesome in it's first season. Then the idiots at NBC decided to put Olberman on the show and use his "worst person in the world" bit but it became "worst person in the NFL". Man it sucked and Collinswoth and the rest of the crew have to force this idiotic laugh at the unfunny Olberman.
NBC blew it big time there. I just skip the pregame altogether.

I am a soccer nut. I watch FSC for Serie A and the EPL, but until they start an HD broadcast and nudge ESPN out of the Champions League and World Cup coverage, they will remain a second rate network. IMHO, ESPN hates soccer and only cover it to keep FSC down. Witness the Dave O’Brien debacle in the 2006 WC.

He is now sitting in the seat farthest to the edge of the stage for Sunday Night Football. The camera almost cuts him out altogether.
I turn the channel as soon as he is allowed to open his word-hole!

The forced laughter at his stupid comments kill the whole show. They need to dump him and I may come back. ABC can lose Kornheiser from MNF too but for other reasons, like him having no knowledge of football and his idiotic jokes also.
