Environmentalist hotly deny that their environmentalism is a religion. It helps to provide a definition so that people are not equivocating on the meaning of "religion."
Secular Religion: any secular worldview that has a (1) a concept of original sin - the root cause of mankinds problems, and (2) an ongoing battle with this sin, that (3) leads to either utopia or the end of the world.
Environmentalism, Marxism, and Feminism are unquestionably religions.
