Oh yes, we are very familiar with our history. My cousin did a complete family background and then wrote a book with the whole line. I meant my great grandparents immigrated from Germany, not my grandparents. Anyhow they had 15 children so we all get together every 4 years and keep the book updated for future generations. Great Grandpa and Grandma homesteaded in western Minnesota. The family farm, house included is still there and still occupied by family. The farm has been in the family since 1870. We have the homestead papers signed in 1883 by President Chester A. Arthur. We also found ancestors still in Worumberg, Germany and they came to our last reunion. They had to have an interpreter. Sorry to hijack this thread, FReepers.
Boy, that’s great! Glad to know you’re into the family. It’s so important.
You could fit my family in a closet. We had a reunion last year that totaled 23, infants and all. Oh, well.
