Were conservatives bashing Jamie? I don’t know, I didn’t even know who she was until her pregnancy broke and someone told me she was Brittany Spear’s sister and had a TV show. If I would have blamed anyone it would have been the media and her agents for trying to turn her into something that, frankly, no young girl should ever have to be - a role model.
Young girls should be able to look to their mothers, aunts, grandmothers as role models and if they’re not available or suitable, then someone close to them that they know up close and personal and can really admire, not some periphery image dancing across a TV screen.
I agree. I wouldn’t say we were bashing her, just disappointed this was happening to such a high-profile figure. The media is making that out to be more than it was just like they’re making Bristol’s pregnancy to be far more significant than it is.
