Political extremes have little luck in the American political setup. Hence, you or I and others will never find a candidate 100% ok with us. Even Reagan was not far enough Right for the Right. So our choice, if it is to have any significant impact, is always limited to which candidate is closer to us.
Palin as a VP candidate reassures me a great deal. It shows a concern for the future of the GOP. And the fact she is a Life Member of the NRA will drive the Left into Hysterical Hurricanes of Hate.

Are you calling conservatives extreme?
Reagan, was by far, conservative enough for 95% of the conservative establishment.
Our problem is that our current nominee is not conservative enough for more than probably 50% of the conservative electorate.
