True, John McCain is not a conservative on most issues. But he is a far better candidate than the alternative. That does not make him a socialist by any definition. Yes I keep hearing that lame and wild assumption every time I point McCain, like Obama, are both socialists who will destroy this country.

On that point I don't necessarily disagree with you considering the GOP has incrementally accepted more socialism to expand its voter base. In doing so it has gradually aligned itself with the socialist Democrats. They are essentially one party.
