Programming Note: I will be giving a radio interview today at 5:00 p.m. Eastern on "The Blog Bunker" show on Sirius Channel 110 to talk about the selection of Sarah Palin and the race in general.
Johnny Mac shoots out the lights with the Palin pick. Absolute Masterstroke. We became a fan of Sarah Palin in March when we posted Gov. Sarah Palin: Good Looking and Good for You.
This will not only cause the base to open up their wallets, get the yard signs (with pictures?) out, and boost the get-out-the-vote efforts, it may just grab enough of Hillary's folks to teach Obama a lesson about playing nice with others. Her speech with McCain this afternoon was a show-stopper.
And best of all, a Conservative, Republican woman is the heir-apparent to the Republican Party.
antioscar’s wife writes: Her hubby isn’t too hard on the eyes either...;)
Superb pick. Master stroke indeed. Regarding Hillary Clinton’s supporters - it’s time we played nice here. I grew to respect Hilary Clinton in the primaries. She is one tough cookie no matter what you think of her politics. She ran circles around Obama in all the debates. One can imagine a Presidential fight in the future Palin vs Senator Clinton. Popcorn time.
“Mrs. Smith Goes To Washington”
I think the McCain campaign just won the swing state of Nevada with the Palin pick, but time will tell.
Barry, Joe - It’s not like we’re just gonna let you walk out of here... What dya mean “we”? “Sarah... Louise... Palin...” and me. (”Dirty Johnny - apologies to Clint Eastwood).
His timing and his choice of Sarah Palin today was a brilliant political move.
McCain just drop-kicked Obama off the news cycle; and this after the "big speech" which every reporter would have loved to have spent all of today analyzing and telling us (ad nauseum) about it's wonderfulness. Instead, Sarah Palin.
I had to laugh at the local 11:00 am news at the local Seattle station. They described her as the "first term governor of the state of Alaska that has fewer people in it than any other state". I know that people think that Obama's inexperience will make it impossible to criticize Palin's inexperience; but, you forget --- this is the American MSM. They actually think Obama IS experienced, and they are going to go after Palin with ferocity.
I’ll be on Ch. 3 in Grand Rapids at 5 or 6pm.
BOOM is right.
Its like Admiral McCain launched a smashing attack from his Carriers.
A wonderful ending to the ...ah what was that thing on telvision a while back ..... oh yeah ...democratic convention.
