I told my wife that I am now unexpectedly excited to see even just the style-change that the Obama's will bring to the White House. I am so used to flat, life-less First Ladies. And gray, featureless presidents (who, none the less, do great harm).

Translation-First Ladies who conduct themselves with dignity and discretion, and Presidents who don't shame the Office of the Presidency by having perverted sex with interns young enough to be their daughters, and pretending to cry at funerals when they notice the cameras on them.

And Michelle's "style" is nothing but a weak imitation of Jackie Kennedy's. She can't quite pull it off, because Jackie was the real McCoy-she had breeding.

I wonder if most Dems are like Pitt, or if he really believes his own bullspit? Nobody can be that enraptured by a candidate for a political party. Nobody sane that is. Look at the abuse all the Pubbie candidates have taken on this forum especially McCain. Conservatives look at all their candidates warily. Dems really do seem to see their candidates as perfection in human forms.

My Mom and Dad said that Jackie O had class that none of the Dems First Ladies had since. I’ve seen pictures of her, but I’m not sure if that was the time or whether it was her style.

I guess he didn't learn about punctuation at his local SOCIALIST TRAINING GROUND (AKA: Public School!).

It was definitely her own sense of style :) For example, little pillbox hats had already been around, but she made them chic. Even the French (who think they have the monopoly on style) were impressed with her chic :) And she was one of the few who could make a straight-line sheath dress look good, LOL.
