The San Francisco Chronicle said it best: "Gore insists the only real obstacle is the reluctance of America's leaders to seek bold solutions to high energy prices and global warming. He likened his challenge to President John F. Kennedy's 1961 call to put a man on the moon." "The goal is the most ambitious energy plan by a major U.S. political figure - and one many energy experts say is unrealistic." But it seems Gore's plan could have been ripped from a fellow Democrat, Rep. Ron Klein of Florida's 22nd District. Klein boasted of a ten year energy independence plan 2 years ago during his victory speech by saying he was going to put forth, "a 21st century energy policy that makes us energy independent in 10 years."
So Ron Klein expects to make America totally energy independent by 2016, while Gore's "unrealistic plan" calls for the same goal by 2018. Now we know why The Politico named Klein their "Rookie of the Year."
But let's put this "rookie of the year" award in perspective: this Democrat led Congress is going to be known as the "do-nothing Congress". As they have only passed 294 pieces of legislation. 1. S.RES.440: A resolution recognizing soil as an essential natural resource, and soils professionals as playing a critical role in managing our Nation's soil resources.
2. S.RES.262: A resolution designating July 2007 as "National Watermelon Month".
3. H.RES.216: Congratulating the men's volleyball team of the University of California, Irvine, for winning the 2007 NCAA Division I Men's Volleyball National Championship.
4. S.RES.180: A resolution recognizing the 70th anniversary of the Idaho Potato Commission and designating May 2007 as

BTTT!
Of course he did. He's Al Gore. He downloaded it off the internet.
Please do not get me going on Gore. The SOB polluted the nearest trout stream to my house.
Banned for life?
ROTFLOL!!
What's going to happen to all the hundreds of millions of cars currently dependent on gasoline and all the vehicles built between now and 2016?
Will there be a great one way highway built out into the ocean where we will drive our now obsolete gas burning cars off the end of that highway into the vast depths of the ocean?
Well, the Democrats just passed a transportation bill calling for billions of dollars to be spent on expanding public bus service in urban areas, and repaving roads with bike lanes.
That would be nice. Now if I could only find snow tires to fit my Shimano road racing rims..........
