There is a huge leap between saying it and doing it.

This empty suit has just empty words

I wish a reporter would ask Senator: "can you expound on what you mean by "clear message to Russia and unify our allies,”

Probably would more uh, um, ah than than actual words

No, he really means “send a clear message”

He is going to write up a very well worded, strong sounding message.

Since he said he won’t do anything else, it’s safe to assume he feels that will get the job done.

I can just picture him finishing the message and saying to himself “That’ll show ‘em!”
