This was a horrible mistake. The Messiah called the Right to Life Coalition liars-- even though their allegations that Obama did not support born-alive legislation are well documented. The NRLC even found an Associated Press article to back them up.
Recently published documents by Jill Stanek prove that in 2003, Barack Obama, as chairman of an IL state Senate committee, voted down a bill to protect live-born survivors of abortion:
Here is a copy of the committee roll call vote:
The right hand column shows the roll call by which Obama and his Democratic colleagues killed the amended bill - the bill was virtually identical to the federal law that Obama, starting in 2004, claimed he would have supported if he'd had the opportunity. (Jill Stanek and NLRC)
Obama said "the Right to Life Coalition was lying" in an interview after his appearance at the Faith Forum last night.
Christian Broadcasting reported:

Where liberals are concerned we don’t have to lie. They are pro-abortion. They look at abortion as a part of the liberation of women. Obama may not look at it specifically that way but he certainly is as rabid in his support for the most extreme pro-abortion positions.
Unless...
Its above his pay grade to tell the truth
“Where liberals are concerned we dont have to lie. They are pro-abortion.”
One liberal lady justified her pro-abortion stance. She said there were already too many people in the world anyway.
what the heck is wrong with Obama? it’s like he’s accusing everyone left and right of doing something to him... that’s not the kind of person we want in the most powerful seat in the world.
IMO, this is the first time in BHO's life that he's actually had to face work and reality. Sorry, but he's a spoiled brat whose worst hardship is being half-black...and that really shouldn't be one.
Abortion is the death-worshipping Left’s holy sacrament. It all hinges on the belief that a superior class of elites gets to decide who lives and who dies.
History shows us all too clearly what happens when these monsters acquire control of the apparatus of the State.
History also shows us what the only possible response is to those who think that they have the right to dictate the terms of existence to the rest of us.
Obama’s story just doesn’t hold water. Mistakes are , I’m sure, sometimes made in recording the votes of committees.
But it defies logic to think that Mr. Obama , a hardline liberal whose district had one of the most radical electorates in Illinois, would have bucked his party on this vote.
Then certainly she wouldn’t mind me taking her out, right? I mean there are too many people...
I think you are right. He had no idea he would actually have to do stuff. He would just float all the way to the WH on his skin tone. He has never known anything else, so why would he think this would be different?
It is political suicide to openly call a large group of concerned Americans bald face liars when the facts are on the side of the large group! This is not good for Barry; on national TV, calling Americans such as this concerned about infants liars. Not good at all.
He’s not used to not floating through life and showing his true colors as a whiner.
Affirmative action product - all he’s ever had to do is show up.
Things change.
I think there is some truth to that. However, I would phrase his problem as "not having faced adversity." (He can play the race card all day long, but, in fact, his skin color has helped him more than hurt him.) You can tell he does not deal well with adversity because he gets petulantly defensive and obstinate when he is criticized. I would not be surprised to witness a public temper tantrum or breakdown by Obama by November. I think he'll eventually crack under the pressure--hopefully in public.
Yeah, not only was he a history maker at the Harvard Law Review by being the first Black President (which is a little false as there was a previous black editor, just not called “President”), he was also the only to not have actually written anything for it.
