Terminally ill people get morphine, dilaudid, and fentanyl, with thanatological counseling sometimes too. If a drug like LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, or some phenylethylamine helps that therapy, go for it.
It's not like they will hit the streets with a crowbar to rip your big screen for a hit.

It doesn’t help you accept the certainty of death, it helps you escape. Serotonin levels are elevated by the action and you can “create” your own reality (at least in perception of reality).
There can also be other mental states including paranoia and “the fear”. Depends who your guide is, I guess.

200 mics of LSD is not a beginners dose, and yes, it will provide a "powerful psychedelic experience".
I've seen people have a hard time with 100 mics...they had to drink a 12 pack just to gain even keel.
Of course, that was the old days...musta been different then.
