My family is now being harassed and threatened. She [his wife] is absolutely terrified and is afraid to leave the house or even go to work. She is begging me to stop and I am going to listen to her. I cannot endanger my family any further.
I don't blame him. I know what the harassment is like. You develop a thick skin fast if you toil in the blogosphere, believe me, you have to. Most normal people are stunned by the vicersal, ad hominem attacks one must deflect or ignore.
Frankly, he did what was required of him. He proved the COLB a forgery.

Wasting time and energy on another fruitless endeavour. This has disappointed me so much; I thought they had something - then this needless BS melodrama about ‘my family being threatened’ which is about as cliche internet tin-foil hattery as you can get. Which would keep you safer? Hiding anonymously, or putting your name out in public? Seems pretty obvious to me.

What a naive rube! it has not been "fruitless" at all. If you scan the Hillary websites, many of her followers have been following this story and will vote for McCain because of it. Sunlight is the best disinfectant - if this guy is telling the truth, the only protection from Arkanicide is to pass his info on to someone else or at least the work you’ve done so far on to someone else to hang on to. This is so, so disappointing, in more ways than one. I am extremely sorry for Techdude and his family and enraged that simply seeking the truth could have brought this down on them.
However, he has already proven, without doubt, that the certificate is a forgery. Someone else, if they dare, might want to put the final nail in Obama’s coffin by proving that the original it was based on was Maya Soetoro, as Techdude has indicated.
