I had that arguement witrh one of my buddies. When he said he didn’t need a tax cut, I told him to take out his check book and write a check. Odd, he wouldn’t do it.
Then I asked him if he took his mortgage deduction. Why, I asked. if he doesn’t need a tax break, would he take a dedustion that a renter does not get.
He is, as most liberals, all talk and no action.
I always say, “Don’t write a check with your mouth that your ass can’t cash!”
I too had one of those talks with a liberal friend on mine. He was showing me pictures of his family’s vacation (wife, 3 kids) to the Grand Tetons. I asked whre he got all the money and he said he got $5K back in taxes. I told him that he can “thank GWB” for that vacation. He goes full BDS on me. I ended up kicking him out of my backyard and sent him on his way.
