I clearly remember when Carla Fay Baker was scheduled to be executed in Texas when Bush was governor.

I truly believe she was a changed person, having found Christ, and was ready to meet her maker...(& yes she had committed a horrific murder of another woman while on drugs)

But she still petitioned for pardon....

She found none from Bush this side of Heaven however.

He was steely determined that she should die.

She was, of course, an American citizen.

And she was executed.

I remember Carla Fay Baker. I think then Gov Bush determined that she had had a fair trial and was found guilty by her peers and he should not interfere with their decision.
