All the "testimony" came from her and her relatives. No other evidence was presented. The prejudice against Christian pastors that this case has revealed makes me sick to my stomach.
I don't.
I wonder, of all the people that think this was a travesty, how many have avoided their own jury duty?
This is exactly correct. Even if he really was an abuser, it’s still better to err on the side of caution and let the children live with their grandparents, who don’t have any history of violence.
His parents and some others said he was the nicest guy...
But abusive husbands are also great actors...
Something caused a quiet sober woman to suddenly kill her husband...
Was she protecting herself from him ???
Neither do I. People who “hate this country” should move elsewhere.
Am I missing something about this case? What gives? It’s been a long series of injustices from the verdict, to the pathetic sentence, to the suspending of that sentence and now this.
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
“Wow, this reminds me of OJ.
Sad, I pray for those little girls and the husbands family. What a tragedy.”
This is much worse on the law. The woman was actually convicted of killing her children’s father. How could they give the children to her?
but women do not make as much as men do for the same jobs, so this is understandable.
“abusive husbands are also great actors...
Something caused a quiet sober woman to suddenly kill her husband”
Do you have any comprehension of the concept of evidence? Sadly, there are obviously others out there who share your inane thought process as we see demonstrated with this case. :(
Your argument doesn’t even follow the logic of your own perverted sensibilities. So the “abusive husband” must have been just “acting” to get a reputation as a nice guy. Could Mary Winkler have been “acting” to get her “quiet, sober” reputation?
I wonder how you would reconcile the idea that she is a “quiet and sober” woman with the fact that she went out partying at a bar, drinking and smoking while out on bond? How do you rationalize that? I’m sure if you can rationalize a shotgun blast to the back you should have no problems with that one.
So the abusive husband must have been just acting to get a reputation as a nice guy.

Actually that is the MO of an abuser...
“Actually that is the MO of an abuser...”
*sigh* :(
You’re right. I was just thinking of kids being raised by someone who murdered their other parent. But of course, OJ’s kids probably believe he didn’t do it. These kids cannot believe their Mom is innocent. Such a shame.
