You lost me when you got petty instead of discussing the issue. And if you think grammar is the only criteria for legitimate discussion, you might not want to read the ACTUAL (not the cleaned up) works of our Founders. They often did not worry much about spelling and grammar.
Personally, I found the fact that they mismatched a third-person possessive pronoun with a singular noun more jarring.

Oversensitivity to common grammatical errors can really limit your, *oops* ones interlocutory intercourse.
Not everybody is blessed to have a great grade school grammar teacher like you and me, cough, like you and I had. Really, I feel sorry for the dumbed down education they hand out these days.
