Jamie Gorelick writes an op-ed complaining about the politicization of the Department of Justice regarding the recruitment of U.S. Attorneys during the Bush Administration.
She makes it appear as if the ability to hire and fire US attorneys were not at the discretion of the President — which it is. But she also forgot her own history.
Gorelick was herself a Clinton appointee and one who has seemingly forgotten her own President’s actions in using the bludgeon of Justice Department hiring and firings for political purposes. To wit:
Bill Clinton fired all U.S. Attorney’s when he assumed office and this was both unprecedented and political in nature.

They truly believe we’re completely stupid, with lost memories:
From her op-ed linked above:

“For decades, Republican and Democratic attorneys general had protected from political influence the hiring of career prosecutors and administrative judges.
There was an unbroken rule, embodied in law, regulation and department policy, that no political questions would be asked of those who wanted to serve in career — as opposed to political — positions in the department.
We demanded of our Justice Department, in its core prosecutorial and adjudicative functions, that it be separate from politics. Until the Bush administration.”
What about the $750 grand she made while a director of Fannie Mae?
She fiddles while rome burns and gets paid for it?
The Gorelick WALL;
Jamie Gorelick, Attorney General of the United States during the Clinton administration, responsible for segregating criminal investigators and intelligence agents from shared intelligence.
If I recall correctly, not so long ago Obama was looking at Janet Reno and Gorelick for possible positions...
