Actually, yes they do stop for however long you give into their demands. As long as you're willing to do what they tell you to do they will not resort to violence - it's easier to conquer the enemy by allowing him to weaken himself with voluntary concessions first. Again, islamic terrorists are very patient. They've been waiting two centuries to resume their attacks on the US, waiting for the right moment to strike.

If you were right, the following statement would not have been written over 200 years ago by islamic jihadists:

Once again, you are still comparing radical muslims to the Barbary pirates, and they are not one in the same. Money does not stop a radical muslim. No demands for money were made before 9/11 or the USS Cole bombing. The reason is because they were radical muslims who had declared jihad of the sword against us. The Barbary pirates were not radicals. They were muslims who believed in the expansion of the muslim state, but they were not the radicals you believe them to be.

So by your reasoning, the terrorists have been waiting two hundred years to strike us. They have been extorting money from us all during that time, all the while weakening us with those voluntary concessions. Once we were financially strapped because of these concessions, Bin Laden , who isn't even from the area the Barbary pirates were from, attacked us because we quit paying money.

Guess I'm not wrong. That statement was not written by an islamic jihadist. It was spoken by the ambassador to Britain from Tripoli to Jefferson and Adams. Jihadists don't send ambassadors. And the burden is still on you to prove the Barbary pirates were extremists and that a jihad of the sword can be quelled with money.
