The Fighting on capital hill intensified this week as the ominous reality set in that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have no intention of allowing the 'Gas Price Reduction Act of 2008' or similar legislation to be open to debate and a vote. But why?? There is a simple explanation, both Reid & Pelosi know...

Simple case of lust for power and payoff to those the Democrats are beholden to retain that power. I am sure the GOP has done similar things when they were in the majority. Reason enough to vote out every incumbent out of office. Congress has got to become accountable to the people or the Republic is doomed.

We need oil or get rid of airplanes, trains and freight trucks along with all travel. We need to diversify out energy. We need nuclear, eclectic cars and new technology to diversify our energy so if one sector goes down we can move to another source without coming to a complete stop.

Less government is better government.

Seems we never had a problem with speculation until the gov’t demanded 51 flavors of blended gasoline. Gov’t is not the answer. It's the problem.

How to drive speculation out...drill here, drill now. Refine here, refine now...build nuclear, produce nuclear.

If we were to go all out to do that, and announce it and then proceed towards it, I predict we would see the oil market drop below $60 a barrell within the year...and I predict that if we were serious and through executive order (1st) and then legislation later (because we would elect the right people) we would be energy independent and a net exporter within 3-5 years.

That's what we need to do and the DNC, foreigh markets, and Obama are all combining to try and keep that very thing from happening. And they are doing so because they are all united in their fundamental anti-Americanism.

I sure as heck know that the reason that diesel is more expensive than gasoline today is because of sulfur regulations put in place by Congress.

What should be less expensive to refine has become more solely by the environmentalist knuckleheads in DC.

I'm sure I don't understand the rules. Doesn't Congress have to pass legislation by September 30 to renew the drilling moratorium? That isn't going to happen.
