12 years in the Senate (2 terms)
12 years in the House( 6 terms)
For the Senate an incumbent must sit out 1 term to be eligible to return.
For the House an incumbent must sit 2 terms to be eligible.
Disagree. Once they are out, they are out period. What is to prevent them from maintaining alliance during their “Out” period? No lobbying? These people keep their fingers in the pie one way or another. All that taxpayer money is more than they can pass up. Keep them out of positions of opportunity once they are out.
