As soon as it was called to his attention he arranged to get to Hawaii to get the 'true' documents to clear it up in one felled swoop
and the staffer has been fired...
I wouldn't be eager to buy it, but if I were a koolaide drinker, and the alternative was having yet another eeeeeeeeevil old white guy republican in the White House? I'd take another big gulp, and vote for him.
If he comes up with a sale able political position on the main issue, probably not. He will say, "well some overzealous campaign staff person made some judgment errors; I take full responsibility; we'll throw her or him under the bus; that was just attributable to those bad right-wingers attacking us under circumstances where there isn't any substance to their position."
What has been accomplished is that publication of the clear forged nature of the Birth Certificate has put pressure on Obama to do further acts to respond to the issue. We have given him the opportunity to make another mistake. We will see how he responds; we will see how the Clinton's and their agents (Texas Darlin and others) respond.
Really, what he has done is bought a week or two. If he has a political answer on the main issue; and then is able to regain momentum going into the convention; it will be difficult to stop him.
On the other hand, if he is not successful, the message that he still hasn't addressed the real issue of where he was born with real factual material will resurface and it will probably bring him down, whatever he does.
