If his parents were not together at the time, in Africa, then how was his father able to “name” him. If he was born in Hawaii, his mother would have named him, wouldn't she?

Moslems ALL give their kids MOSLEM NAMES. There are no exceptions. It just so happens that the fellows who wrote the Koran (not their belief, mine) were all a bunch of Arabs (except for a few stray Persians) and had Arab names. Those Arab names turned into Moslem names, and voila, having an Arab name means absolutely nothing when it comes to ethnicity!
