I find it much simpler than that, purely because of his own actions.
Obama got where he is mainly by relying on technicalities and dirty tricks (unsealing court documents) to eliminate his opponents. He has never played fair.
Wouldn’t it be the final word in natural justice if he himself were eliminated over a technicality?
It would be poetic. Still ... reality is reality and trumps human sense of the poetic at times.
