If it’s proven that that certificate really is a fake - and if Obama’s real birth certificate shows that he was not born a U.S. citizen - do you know what the fallout could be? Hillary Clinton would probably get the Democratic nomination after all.
I’ve thought about this a great deal- because if this is all that it appears and this BC is fraudulent- then yes- most likely Hillary will get the nod in Denver.
It’s all pretty sobering. What will liberals, socialists and regular old Democrats do? What will it do to the country?

"African" is not a race. People of all colors and races are born in Africa.

If he were nominated and then shown not to be a citizen prior to the election, two courses of action seem open. First, an emergency party convention could be held and HRC would get the nomination. In the second course, they could continue supporting him at whatever the cost reasoning that they had gone too far to drop his nomination. The first case would run into all sorts of legal problems and contravene all sorts of party rules. The second case could ensure their defeat if McCain decides to use his opponent's lack of qualifications for the job as a campaign issue.
If Obama is actually elected and then shown not to be a citizen prior to the swearing in ceremony, the Chief Justice would presumably decline to swear him into office on the basis of his not being a citizen.
This brings up the final scenario. Obama is elected, shown not to be eligible for office and 'accidents' occur leaving only Justice Ginsburg or Souter alive. Then Ginsburg or Souter would swear him in in a New York minute. After all, that 'natural born citizen' stuff was written by dead white men in a different time, we live in a brave new multicultural world, and the Constitution, being a living document, needs to change with the times.
Oh like any of us would be surprised by Hillary getting the nomination. I can’t say much would surprise me any more.
I'll venture a guess:
1. The real one shows that Obama is not really a citizen.
2. The real one shows October Surprise material, something so bad that it may interfere very badly with his campaign. There has been specualtion, for instance, that the original will somehow provide evidence that his father was married to one or more women other than his mother. Just an indication that his parents represented themselves to the State as unmarried would be enough evidence to get somebody on that trail and open that can of worms.
3. Obama is so incompetent he can't successfully oversee the maintenance of his personal documents.
None of those possibilities is very palatable to me, an American who was already wondering with horror how the heck this neophyte got to be seriously considered for the job of leading the free world.
How could he not be a citizen if his mother is a citizen?
