Re: #10

No I don't understand. Let's take your statement sentence by sentence:

"This topic is so lame."
I'm not sure I understand how it's lame. Clark insulted McCain on one of his strongest suits and it's become an issue in the campaign as well as an embarrassment to Obama. So how is it "lame"?

"The only ones making the argument that being a POW qualifies you to be President are the democrats.
Show me a quotation from ANYBODY that says, "Being a POW qualifies you to be President." I don't understand where you get that (except from between your ears).

"Then they knock the straw man down"
Now this last part I think I understand but correct me if I'm wrong. You think that the Democrats are STILL building up John McCain, even though he has the nomination totally wrapped up, so that they can "knock him down" at some point between now and the election?

No. I don't understand what you are saying at all.

The effort starts long before you squeeze yourself into that cockpit. It starts with having what it takes to get into, let alone complete, navy flying school. It continues when you are selected to fly a fighter/bomber in combat.

I couldn’t even qualify to apply for a services academy, let alone graduate and then choose a career in naval aviation.

I have serious complaints with John McCain on several of his political stands, but I have nothing but respect for him as a man who believes in something and puts his heart into it.

He would not be my first choice for President. Maybe not even my second choice, but compared to what the Democrats are offering up he’s THE MAN!

These guys don’t get it. It’s about character, not the fact that he was shot down and held captive for all those years. What a cheap shot.

Obama will not be Jimmy Carter's second term. He will be David Dinkins, watching a tennis match while the city is consumed in riots. Much worse. And he is answerable to the same Sharpton and Jackson rabble.

Political suicide is the only way to describe General Wesley Clark’s comments. The best bet for Senator Obama to win this November is to surpress the conservative & Republican vote. Want to get them animated? Attack the military or actual heroic service. Commander-in-Chief is the most important role of a President. Having insight into how the military works is a huge asset. Senator John McCain retired as an O-6 Captain (just below Admiral). Senator Obama probably wasn’t even a boy scout, unless you count the maddrassa. Senator Obama wouldn’t take a private meeting with General Petreus to get an update on how the war was going. The true reason the peacecreep democrats want the War in Iraq over is they want the money for free goodies from the government, they could care less about the soldiers. The GI Bill they pushed was purely political. There was plenty of money in the VA to provide college benefits. The VA wastes millions on bureacracy.

“... Clark ... has criticized John McCain for not having ‘command experience’ ...”

IIRC, this is incorrect as well.
