For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Wesley Clark - "I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president."
Even in the Marines, I noticed that the better looking Corporals who had the square chin, bold cheekbones and that All American GQ look seem to get promoted in double time speed to Sergeant. Perhaps former Marine General Anthony Zinni (now a radical lib/internationalist Democrat antiwar politico) was similarly promoted because of the cut of his jib. I mean they have "got the look" of military poster men. IOW they had a physical appearance more impressive than General George S. Patton, but could hardly hold a candle to his military presence and skill.
Along comes John McCain who certainly knew something about leadership in the military having been a son and grandson of naval admirals. He must have picked up something about the military during his youth - at least a bit more than Hillary and Obama - who are Clark's and Zinni's choices to lead U.S. forces in wartime.
According to Handsome Wesley Clark who performed quite below average in directing air attacks against the Serbs in order to defend the Muslim Kosovars which was the twisted strategy of a Monicaized Bill Clinton, John McCain was just riding in an airplane, sort of like ride in Wesley's limo, before he was shot down.
Wesley Clark did not mention in his recent smear of McCain that McCain's ride was cut short by being shot down and then according to the Senator,
"I pulled the ejection handle, and was knocked unconscious by the force of the ejectionthe air speed was about 500knots. I didn't realize it at the moment, but I had broken my right leg around the knee, my right arm in three places, and my left arm. I regained consciousness just before I landed by parachute in a lake right in the corner of Hanoi, one they called the Western Lake. My helmet and my oxygen mask had been blown off."
After he regained consciousness, a crowd attacked him, crushed his shoulder with a rifle butt, and bayoneted him;he was then transported to Hanoi's main Hoa Lo Prison nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton."
In August of 1968, a program of severe torture began on McCain. McCain was subjected to repeated beatings and rope bindings, at the same time as he was suffering from dysentery. After four days, McCain made an anti-American propaganda "confession". He has always felt that his statement was dishonorable, but as he would later write, "I had learned what we all learned over there: Every man has his breaking point. I had reached mine." His injuries left him permanently incapable of raising his arms above his head.He subsequently received two to three beatings per week because of his continued refusal to sign additional statements. Other American POWs were similarly tortured and maltreated in order to extract "confessions" and propaganda statements, with many enduring even worse treatment than McCain."Wikipedia and other sources
Weaselly shot himself in the foot this time.
Now Hussein is forced to compare his own military records
(basic training in the Madrassa) with the heroic and distinguished record of an elder statesman.
It’s a Lose/Lose for Hussein and the Weasel.
Clark is an arrogant ass, and I can`t stand him. But does serving in combat (or in the military in general) mean that someone is automatically qualified to be President?
the page timed out. I’ll check it out later. Thanks.
Hmm, that link expired. But that is the archive where I found the report. Now I can’t duplicate the search.
