Well put! And, as we both observed in recent threads, development of doctrines, traditions and (mis) interpretations along those lines may well have been aided and abetted by those who have violated the Second Commandment...

Creation Week is described in roughly forty sentences in Genesis 1. Compare that to the libraries full of scientific observations, test results and theories around the world.

The words of God are spirit and life.

The words of men are neither spirit nor life.

They are not at all comparable!

If we try to run ahead of the revelations of God in His own words, we are liable to wander out of His Light and into spiritual darkness.
