For those who have some technical know how and a firewall on their internet connection, take a look at your logs some day to see how many Chinese computers are knocking on your door.
One day I got a little PO’d at the chinanet.cn computer scanning my netbios ports, so I launched a Nessus scan against his IP. Within a couple minutes I had half-a-dozen *.cn computers scanning me. Some were routing through Australia, others directly from Beijing.
I finally just unplugged my router and firewall for 15 minutes or so. How am I gonna’ fight that many hackers at once?

Extend your test by putting a login on a website that looks like a financial, defence or government site, sit back and watch the unrelenting stream of visitors show up from Chinese and to a lesser extent Russian IP addresses.
