California Primary Election, 6/3/2008 [Late]

Yes on 98 & No on 99

(For 98, though, I need to point out that raising rent when mobile homes change ownership in existing rent control cities is a taking of property from the seller of the mobile home, because the change of law would drastically reduce their property values. It's not a taking of the land owners' property, because the land was sold and bought in a rent control market. 98 would hurt me and a lot of people I know, but I'm aiming for a greater good and hoping that this law's flaw can be corrected in a law-suit or other legislation.)

DO NOT VOTE
for Charel 'HomoSexAgenda' Winston
nor Shane 'Brokeback' PaTrick Connolly
nor Mark 'Strangelove' Patrosso
nor any Log Crampin' party saboteurs.

Maybe write-in other candidates.
(I considered writing-in the libertarian, but he doesn't get it. These offices are utterly hopeless)

I'm writing-in Robert Van Cleef for 2nd Supervisorial District County Central Committee

I get to fill in 3, and I guess the other two are okay.

Superior Court, Office No. 8: Lane Liroff (?)

I was looking at endorsements and for bleeding-heart liberalism in their statements. Zoe Lofgren's endorsment and other leftists immediately disqualify Jess 'Raza' Valencia and Jay 'Dems' Boyarsky. Diane 'Feminazi' Ritchie says white men must be replaced, and Tim 'Environmentalist' Pitsker might be a good choice, but Liroff's experience and endorsement lists are long and seems relatively safe.

County Supervisor, Santa Clara County, Supervisorial District 2: Frank Chavez

Richard 'Leftist' Hobbs' endorsements and photo gallery tell all; Patricia 'Cradle-To-Grave' Martinez-Roach is a little too nice with our money and resources; George 'deM' Shirakawa is all dem endorsements; Lopez and Diaz don't sound qualified at all and couldn't get websites or online statements prepared; Frank Chavez seems alright, and perhaps relatively conservative.

Santa Clara Valley Water District 2 Director:

Joe 'ClimateChange' Judge and Diana 'CarbonFootprint' Foss both seem a little too distracted by the weather; so I was going to vote for David 'Campaignless' Parker, but he's not campaigning because he sold out to Judge and his troop of leftist supporters like comrade Lofgren.

Frank is a friend and a good guy. We did a fundraiser for him. Very conservative.

Hobbs and Shirakawa are pro-abort big gov't types with union support. Diaz is a perennial joke candidate.

Wrote-in Van Cleef as well (he's a valid write-in for Freepers in that district). Jack Davis is a friend, so he's cool. I have nothing against Higgins.

I'm leaving the water board and judge positions unfilled.

If you have any further questions for me, I'll be unavailable shortly because I'm an inspector at one of the polling precincts, so I'll be leaving soon to get set-up.
