I went to the indoor farmer's market yesterday but they were out of $1.50 DiGiorno pizzas so I got 4 Celest microwave pizzas instead for a buck each. Not as good a deal but still less than the regular store price. Also picked up 4 half gallons of Organic Whole Milk for just 99 cents each. Also some 99 cent seedless mini-watermelons (they fit so nicely in the fridge). Finally, I got 5 Johnsonville Brats for just $1.59. I had a couple this morning con huevos.

Finally, I got 5 Johnsonville Brats for just $1.59. I had a couple this morning con huevos.

Yum! Everytime I hear the word "huevos" I can't help but think of Wurf's line in the movie "Nobody's Fool" (great Paul Newman movie):

I love johnsonville brats. Did some on the barbie last weekend.
Tried the new spicy ones and did the ol beer and brats standard .

This is the worst election year I can remember. There is truly no good choice on either side.

Obama took his name off the ballet in Michigan so he shouldn't have gotten any votes at all. But the commission not only gave Obama the uncommitted votes, they also "stole" four delegates away from Hillary Clinton. So I figure that when they did that they basically stole the primary for Obama. And that makes him the democrats illegitimate candidate.

Where can I get these bargains?

Best advice is to look for really funky looking food stores. The one I go to has INCREDIBLE bargains on meat, produce, and frozen foods. No 99 cent honeydew melons yesterday but I had them there before. Also one dollar papapyas. And I mean BIG papayas. The sausage rolls of Jimmy Dean sausages are only a buck for a pound roll. Milk, if near expiration date, is only 99 cents per half gallon. So I bought 4 half gallons of milk and froze 3 of them.

In contrast to those great prices are rather high prices at the same store for canned stuff. So I just advoid the high priced items. Everytime I go to that store, there is a new bargain so it is FUn to check it out. Sometimes you have to ask the guy in charge about the bargains.

One of the things I love is when the market marks down cheese because its near the gubmint expiration date.

The stuff was aged for 2 years but the gubmint says if it was on the shelf for 3 weeks its gonna go bad L0L
