Yeah, it’s no big deal, it’s just art. She’s overreacting. But, it is telling that they could find room for Buddha and Shiva, and not for Jesus or another Judeo-Christian figure. The school system probably mandated it that way.

It may, the mural is very large and has a lot more than these images are showing. I am looking for a better image that shows more if it.

I homeschool and I completely disagree with her. I am also a Christian and use a Christian History Curriculum that actually teaches children the history of the world including the different religions.
Let’s give our children credit for being able to tell right from wrong. Isn’t that the whole reason we homeschool.
Besides, as the article states, the students in the school don’t even notice it because they don’t know what those images are.
As a side note: World history is not on the homeschool application for our district. The government does not want history taught or the kids would understand that socialism is bad news for them. This mural could be compared to writing Cuneiform on the wall and expecting them to understand or be influenced by it. Maybe they should assign a project to write a paper about someone featured in the mural....hmmmmm.
