There’s no love lost between me and McCain. I don’t like the man. I don’t trust him. But I don’t hate him.
But there’s something to be said about a man that generates so much rabid hatred. The idiots on the moral-minority right hate him because he won’t genuflect before them and kiss the ring. The leftists hate him because they are still running against Bush, and McCain is (in their view) just like him.
You already know how I feel about the moral-minority types. Keep your laws off my pecker. And keep your paws off my XBox.
But watching the seething moonbats react is just delicious. Just a few short years ago, the leftoids LOVED McCain because of his penchant for poking conservatives in the eye. In fact, that’s precisely the tendency that bothers me the most about him - he’s entirely too willing to go along with the left for the purpose of transcending partisanship. But now, these same moonbats are threatening to leave the country if Obama isn’t coronated.
I hope this isn’t an empty promise like we’ve heard so many times before.

IMHO these lefty loonies secretly HOPE that McCain will win because it will give them more material to work with to keep their "hatred train" rolling along this next election cycle. Instead of BDS, now it will be BLDS (Bush-Lite Derangement Syndrome). Since lefties LOVE to hate everyone and everyTHING that does not prescribe to their agenda, McCain winning the WH would supply them with PLENTY of outlets for their hatred and anti-American, anti-Freedom, anti-God vitriol...

Bush turned out to only be HALF a conservative. McCain was just to the Left of Bush, and has only moved further Left in the intervening years.

I hear ya. If Mac picks some pansy ass RINO like Lindsay Graham I'd have a very difficult time getting motivated to vote. ...for President, at least. But if he picks a conservative I'd vote for that ticket without hesitation.
Count me as one of the moral minority who, for the first time in my adult life, is considering just staying home on election day. By the way, I want nothing to do with your pecker or your X-Box. You’re free to play with them at will.
America has crossed some lines that I don’t think are ever going to be re-crossed. Just like western Europe. The immoral majority has turned the slouch towards Gomorrah into an all out sprint and there are very few who seem to be willing to get in the way - least of all Republican party leadership. You definitely are right about one thing - the moral are definitely a minority. Only the future will tell what that bodes for the good ole US of A.
