Not true - have you never heard of posthumous pardons? Why are those done? They are just as “illogical”, no?

[Congrats on being the first KOmmie to mention The Hague in this thread.]

Their wierd obsession simply proves how out of touch they are. Any attempt to extradite American poltical figures to foreign juristiction....well let's just say they'd be well advised to attempt to repeal the Second Amendment first.

This time Wexler thinks he has found the key for the impeachment. It comes in the form of Scott McClellan's book, "What Happened?"

I hope Dubya' isn't in too much of a hurry to get to Crawford when he leaves the White House and gets a speeding ticket during his departure.

He might be IMPEACHED!!! ROTF!

Thanks again P.J. for your enjoyable threads which strike subtle perspective. : - D

It's inherently illogical, since the PURPOSE of impeachment is to have a trial leading to REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.

Yes it's illogical.

Which makes the postings at the DU consistently illogical in lockstep with modern day liberal politicians.

It's inherently illogical, since the PURPOSE of impeachment is to have a trial leading to REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.

Actually, it's completely logical. Impeachment and conviction results in removal from office, and loss of all after-office perks. Bill Clinton can still be impeached on other issues (such as selling pardons) that weren't mentioned in the first impeachment. Conviction by the Senate would result in loss of his cushy pension, lifetime Secret Service protection, and any subsidies to the Clinton Liebary and Massage Parlor. Not that anything will happen to either Bush or Clinton.

Some of you have written me demanding that I deliver hearings or impeachment. As hard as I have been fighting for this cause, I cannot make impeachment happen by myself.

What I can do, and what I have been doing at every turn, is trying to communicate two simple messages to my colleagues:

  • the serious allegations of wrongdoing and the clear-cut rationale for impeachment hearings; and
  • the fact that the public will support our efforts when Congress boldly acts on the side of justice and accountability.

Here we go again with this "serious allegations" nonsense again. Well if that's how the game's played I have serious allegations too.

  1. I hear 'allegations' that Congressman Robert Wexler likes hanging around Barnyards taking photographs of aroused Roosters.
  2. I hear 'allegations' that Congressman Robert Wexler takes these photographs wearing only Hip Waders and a Baseball Cap.
  3. I hear 'allegations' that after Congressman Robert Wexler leaves the Barnyard all the female Sheep are smiling and the Chickens sleep for days.
  4. I hear 'allegations' that after Congressman Robert Wexler left New York as a young boy, all the Poultry Store owners gave a collective sigh of relief.
  5. I hear 'allegations' that Congressman Robert Wexler sells these photographs at Gay Bars in Boca Raton, FL.
  6. I hear 'allegations' that after selling said photos Congressman Robert Wexler goes into the Back Men's Room with the Gay purchaser and they 'toe tap'.
  7. I hear 'allegations' that Congressman Robert Wexler and ex-Congressman Mark Foley go camping together, but only bring one sleeping bag.
Understand, I have no PROOF, no 'evidence' - none - of any wrong doing, just these "serious allegations" that I have heard, or may not have heard - but that's irrelevant. He should be impeached anyway and afterward sent to the Hague for his criminal trial!

Stoo-pid moonbats and their 'allegations'.

It is long past time to pass Inherent Contempt and bring Rove, Libby and others before Congress.

We will inherently indict Rove and keep him locked in the inherent congressional basement.

Robert Wexler is the Congresscritter for Boca Raton. “Boca Raton” means “Mouth of the Rat.” Coincidence?

Many of you have written me, asking for an update on where we stand with regards to impeachment hearings.

Congressman, I believe the correct term is "chimpeachment."

The heck with impeachment. how about going straight to a war crimes trial. Or maybe waiting until after Bush is out then putting him on trial for war crimes.

And the 48 Democrat senators who just passed the $165 billion war funding bill?
