Instead of the inflexible FDA going to China, why don't they limit themselves to America? Their successes here, are often highly questionable. Why should they expand into other countries? There is often much to be suspicious of , of the FDA's true intentions.

Let other countries develop their own watch dog agencies. They may come up with much better solutions. China's medicine has already taught those who are willing to learn, much. The FDA and the the American Medical Association would probably attempt to snuff the Chinese medical approaches out.

When one considers the amount of profits made by pharmaceutical corporations from what they have learned from other country's medical knowledge, this could be understood as just another attempt to monopolize the information, and knowing the FDA, to outlaw pharmaceutical plants which people could grow or buy themselves. For example Valarium; Valerian (Valeriana officinalis, Valerianaceae) is a hardy perennial flowering plant.Many people find that the dried herb is very effective as a home remedy (cheap and easy)for calming and even sleep. It is non addictive. From this plant the pharmaceutical developed "Valium (diazepam)" Which is not only habit forming, but with long term use, which is how it is often prescribed has been blamed for psychotic episodes of great violence. So the FDA is try to out law Valarium and all other herbs, as if they know better than anyone else. They do not know better. In fact, they are under the influence and are therefore protecting corporate pharmaceuticals at the expense of the consumer.

We need to develop a system of inspecting imports, here on our shores. We need not be responsible for what another country attempts to export.

A new FDA "guidance" document, published on the FDA's website, reveals plans to reclassify virtually all vitamins, supplements, herbs and even vegetable juices as FDA-regulated drugs.
