Sarcasm off.
Ping.
Dave posted this story here.....http://www.claytoncramer.com/gundefenseblog/labels/NV.html
I have a permit in VA. Am not allowed to caryy in say a Friday’s or a Ruby Tuesday’s. I do it anyway.
I can't imagine why I didn't hear it on the TV or radio. Instead I heard about the Atlanta jackboots in blue going around and randomly stoping people looking for guns and drugs in zone 3. HALT ZEIGE PAPIEREN! or if you prefer остановка! покажите ваши бумаги
. It's a good thing that the police are looking for "illegal" guns. Can't have anyone but the jackboots and those the government grants the privilege to going armed can we.
You bad boy...
Shoddy journalism...
Why not?
Can’t carry where they serve alcohol.
“You would think this would be national news. According to the MSM, this is a “man bites dog” story.”
It just doesn’t compute for them. You see, an armed man (and worse, probably a an armed WHITE man) did something heroic. Since every good journalist knows that an armed man can only either shoot his family or rob someone, this story just doesn’t work. Guns in the hands of private citizens NEVER produce a good outcome, according to the press.
As a public service announcement I should say that German SIG 9mm police turn-in pistols are widely available for about $300 right now with a couple mags and a holster. Good stuff!
Ditto. Or I will cross the border into SC and do it legally. NC's attitude screws the state out a lot of taxes revenue (gas, booze, cigs).
Has VA changed the laws in the last few years? It used to be that you couldn't carry concealed in places that serve alcohol, but you could carry open.
Are you aware of what states follow that statute? I have never been informed that I am not allowed to carry in an establishment which provides alcohol. I will have to check into that. (I live in Indiana by the way in case you know the law on that as of this moment)
In Texas you can’t carry in an establishment that derives 51% or more of their revenue from alcohol. So, most bars, but not most restaurants.
I believe you can carry open in such places. But not concealed.
I don’t know which states have that exception. No concealed in bars, courthouses, and schools is fairly common, though.
Yeah, apparently concealed carry is okay in bars there. No, not referring to NV law.
Concealed being the keyword. If they don’t see ti they cannot ask you to leave. Here in Texas just a sign won’t do. It has to be a size prescibed by hte law and has to have a certain instruction in a specified font size or it is meaningless.
I carry mine everywhere. In church, to my kids’ school, in all restaurants, etc... The only place I don’t is where I have to pass through a metal detector.
