Over the past few months there has been an increase in the number of coalition deaths in Iraq. However, this increase has not been attributable to a resurgence of violence, but rather a massive expansion of operations aimed at crushing Al-Quaeda, Sunni, and Shiite insurgencies. In recent weeks reports have surfaced out of Iraq of the killing Al-Quaeda leadership and disarray in Al-Quaeda in Iraqs hierarchy.
On this Memorial Day weekend two stories have surfaced out of Iraq that should serve as a testament to the strength, resolve, and ongoing successes of our fighting men and women. Unfortunately, this positive news has taken a back-seat in the US mainstream media...
