I predict: 3 to 6 months after President Bush is gone, we’re going to miss him a whole lot. I can only hope that the traitors in the media get their fair share of the blame.

“1999 October: Egypt Air flight 990 crashed off the coast of Massachusetts, killing 100 Americans among the more than 200 on board; the pilot yelled “Allahu Akbar!” as he steered the airplane into the ocean.”

Just for the sake of accuracy, It was the First Officer, not the pilot who is believed to have brought the aircraft down. The phrase that the First Officer repeated several times was “Tawakkalt Ala Allah”- “I rely on God”.

There are a number of possible reasons why our government's actions after September 11 may have made us safer.

I have been personally saying something similar for at least the past several months. Suppose I were to tell you on January 1st 2002, that 6+ years later, at a sad cost of 4,000+ US Military (and other coalition casualties), we would have eliminated Afghanistan as a terrorist home base, removed the Saddam Hussein Regime and introduced a functional (if shaky) democracy in Iraq, have a better domestic economy as measured in the stock market(+30% Nasdaq, +40% DJIA over 09/10/01; +10% N, +20%D over 12/31/01) but a slightly worse unemployment (4.8% 2001 to current 5.0% 04/08). It should be also noted that the invasions of Iraq & Afghanistan had significant native military and civilian casualties in both countries.

Yet, having given you this forecast on 01/01/2002, would you think that the same president, George W Bush, leading us over those 6+ years would be ranked by 109 'historians' as the worst president in US History and would factually have the lowest approval rating of any president?
