Housecats can’t read. Tigers are waaaay smarter.
True story:
Years ago when I worked in the news room of a local radio station our power went out. While the DJs scrambled to get the backup generator running to get us back on the air, I did what all good news people do and called the power company to get details on the extent of the outage and prognosis for getting the lights back on in town.
Much to my surprise, and chagrin, there was no power outage in the city, it seemed only the radio station was black. This was on a Friday evening in the middle of the summer and I normally did beach traffic reports several times an hour on both the AM and FM stations. The electric company appreciated that and quickly dispatched a crew out to the station to get our lights back on.
The eclectric crew found the problem pretty quickly -— a huge snake had decided to snuggle into our 50,000 watt transmitter. The DJs and I had a field day on that story, and kept a running gag going every Friday for several weeks.
The moral -— snakes can read either!
