I had a white slingback clog with a similar platform and heel in the 6th grade...wouldn't you know the day I wore them to school we had a bus drill (you know where you have to jump off and out the back door of the bus to safety).
Of course! We always had them when I had on nice dresses, too.
I spent a year in middle school wearing ‘Candies’ with *everything*. The original Candies - hard plastic sole and sky high heel with just a little strap across the toes to keep them on. I was starting to get selfconscious about my height because while my friends were getting taller, I was staying the same ol 5’ nothing I’d been for a year. Still at the same height 30 years later but I at least have better sense in footwear! I probably couldn’t walk in Candies now if you paid me.
